VAHRAM DAVTIAN

"Golf "
Oil on canvas
80x50”
2007

Vahram is an Armenian artist living in Yerevan and Moscow.

His style of painting belongs to the Absurd Surrealists. Vahram is influenced by Venetian and Flemish Schools. His characters are dapper with a touch of mystery and magic having distrust in their eyes.

The scenes are taken from fun activities, such as outdoor walks, golf, tennis, billiards, card playing or they are thought provoking dramas.

The absurdity is manifested in unusual or impossible situations like boats on land or unstable two wheeled vehicles driven by tiny sticks.

Vahram's works are collected worldwide. He is definitely one of Twenty-First century's masters.
